Investment is seen one of the best ways to accumulate wealth for the long term.
For anyone looking to start investment (Especially in US stocks), I’ll take you through the simple steps to get started. We’ll be using the Bamboo app for this. In a later post, I’ll go over other options available as well.
Bamboo – Invest. Trade. Earn
Bamboo is an investment app that helps individuals invest in the US stock market. It’s been in operation in Nigeria for some time now and just recently launched in Ghana.
What the app basically does is to give you access to all the companies on the US stock market. It’s then up to you to decide which companies you want to invest in. If you’ve ever wanted to have a share in companies like Apple, Google, Facebook and Tesla, now is the time.
How to get started on Bamboo
Step 1 – Sign Up
First, sign up for a free account using my link:
Signup link: https://app.investbamboo.com/invite/kofi278426
You can also invite your friends to join once you complete the signup process. It takes less than 5 minutes to get setup.
Step 2 – Verify
The next step is to verify your account. This will just require you to upload an ID card, and then take a selfie. All this can be done on the Bamboo app.
Step 3 – Deposit Funds
Now you’re ready to get your skin in the game. Obviously you can’t buy a stock with an empty wallet. Deposit can be done using either your mobile money wallet or bank card. It’s easy as ABC.
Step 4 – Buy a stock
Once the deposit hits your Bamboo account, it’s time to go shopping. From here, it’s up to you to decide which stock you’ll invest in. The options are endless. I’ll recommend you read more about the companies you want to invest in. And just like any other investment, there’s risk.
Also, note that your account needs to be approved before you can start trading on the app.
Conclusion & FAQs
So that’s just about it. Once your account is approved and you buy a stock, you’re done. Simply sit back and watch your portfolio.
Some common questions you may have are already answered on the app. Simply tap on the menu labeled “Learn“. It has a lot of useful information to get you started on all things investment related.
